Week 14 : Final Courseware Presentation

Today is our final presentation day for our courseware. Our first presenter from Hazwani, Cikgu Murad and Mr Zulhisham. They have developed courseware for preschool student. The topic is "Vehicle".

Second presenter was from Diyana, Rafidah and Faridanura. They developed courseware for topic Hajj in form 4 silibus of Islamic Study.

The next presenter was Munir and Ayatul Kauthar which developed courseware for science year 5.

And the last presenter from our group, Fadlee, Masni and me. Our group developed courseware for Special Education.

Week 13 : Multimedia Project Development Document

This week is the the last topic in CD-ROM base Multimedia topic which is Documentation of Multimedia Development Project. 

• Documentation from earlier development should be prepared needed for some reason such as upgrading.
• Kept properly and systematically by the developer or probably provided with the program necessary.
• 
  

 3 type of Document:

1. Planning/Design Document
2. Support Document
3. Final Document

Support Document
Prepared with the Multimedia Program to provide additional information for using the program. Contain :

• How to use this CD/Program/Product
• Technical requirements (sw or hw)
• Installation Guide (if necessary)

Final Document
Reports the improvements that have been applied on the Multimdeia project. Includes all : 

• formative assessments outcomes
• reviews

Format for Final Document

• Unspecified font type, size or spacing
• At least 5 pages
• Support document 

Week 12 : Distribution of Multimedia Courseware

Today we learn the final part in our CD-ROM development process. There is :

• Technique & Methods for Multimedia Application Distribution
• Marketing Strategy

There are many things to be considered, such as;

2. the efficiency of the courseware to the users.

Week 11 : Testing & Evaluation (Part 2)

This week our topic will cover more to evaluation part. 2 type of evaluating the courseware which is :

1. Formative - to see the process and the result
2. Summative - at the end of evaluation phase

Why need to do an evaluating?

• Learnability: How easy is it for users to accomplish basic tasks the first time they encounter the design?
• Efficiency: Once users have learned the design, how quickly can they perform tasks?
• Memorability: When users return to the design after a period of not using it, how easily can they reestablish proficiency?
• Errors: How many errors do users make, how severe are these errors, and how easily can they recover from the errors? 
• Satisfaction: How pleasant is it to use the design?

Week 10 : Semester Break

This week is Mid Term Break. It's suppose on week 8 substitute on this week. It's also 1st week of school holiday. We continue our development phase of courseware with evaluating from time to time to get better.

 

Week 9 : Presentation Prototype Courseware

Hari ini 3 kumpulan mempersembahkan hasil courseware 60% siap. Ini merupakan hasil courseware kumpulan kami.

Ada beberapa komen daripada pensyarah iaitu Encik Juhazren untuk penambahbaikan. Antaranya ialah :

1. Hari dan Tarikh jika boleh buat ikut masa semasa.
2. Warna bintang pada soalan MCQ hampir sama... minta diubah.
3. Gunakan gabungan grafik dan interaktiviti untuk membantu pengguna memahami perisian.
4. Kurangkan penggunaan ayat.
5. Suara untuk setiap penerangan dan button. 

Antara masalah yang sedang kami hadapi buat masa ini ialah :

1. Kami bercadang nak masukkan video cara-cara menggunakan setiap peralatan tetapi belum dapat cara terbaik untuk paparkan video tersebut. Encik Juhazren mencadangkan agar video tersebut dipaparkan pada lay out papan hijau lebih sesuai.
2. Masalah pautan daripada slot games padankan pasangan yang dibangunkan menggunakan Actionscript 3.0 tidak boleh untuk kembali semula ke dalam courseware utama.

Week 8 : Testing and Evaluation

We have prepared for prototype presentation for this week. But the session postpone at another week. So, this week we proceed to learn about testing and evaluating the courseware.

Today, we learn about how important the testing and evaluating phase in developing a courseware.

Testing software for accessibility and usability will be needed at many stages in the lifecycle of a courseware.

However, the most effective time to test and evaluate a software product is during development, so that unnecessary barriers are not incorporated into a design. 

 

 

Week 7 : Development Courseware

This week is development phase for our courseware. As design previous, we start do the task. We're not going to UTM, we do our task at school together. It's begin to record a sound.

In development process are to shoot videos for all hand tools usage then edit the videos using Cyberlink Power Director.

Software to edit video

Games development using Adobe Flash 5.5 Pro with Actionscript 2.0 and 3.0. 

 

Week 6 : Proposal Presentation

Today we have to present our proposal project for CD ROM courseware will develop. We have discuss and decide to develop CD ROM course for "Kemahiran Hidup Pertukangan Pendidikan Khas Bermasalah Pembelajaran".

Week 5 : Visual Design

 VD : Planning how your web site will look

• arrange into attractive layout

Elements of User Interface

• Bground menyampaikan tema ~ colors or images
• Foreground ~ Content n link (title, heading, sub heading. body text, illustration & caption)

Critical Task of VD

• menstruktur skrin (BG, windows etc)

Week 4 : Intraction Design

Today En Juhazren in the house to take over Ms Shikin who have in meternity leave. Congratulation for Ms Shikin for her new baby boy born. Our topis for today is Interaction Design.

At the end of the class, as a homework we need to do needs analysis for the courseware we will develop.

Hari pertama kuliah semester 2 bersama pensyarah iaitu Pn Norasykin Mohd Zaid untuk subjek CD-ROM Based Multimedia Development.. Subjek ni pun need to create reflection in blog macam sem lepas subjek Authoring. Dah lebih kurang 3 bln stop blogging.. kena aktif semula la nampaknya..
